Holly & Puny started Mittelstaedt Sports & Marine 50 years ago with family and fun. From the time their son Jay was a toddler, to starting school and graduation and going on to college, Jay has been involved in the family business.

Whether it was out at the lake helping Puny with lifts, dock and boats or getting an accounting lesson from Holly, he took it all in stride. And we gave him the most interesting tasks, like taking parts inventory!

With his business degree in hand, he continued to learn all aspects of the business. He learned that all of those hands-on experiences early on were just as valuable as his degree. He learned the value of building relationships, the importance of hard work, and just how many moving parts it takes to keep the dealership running.

Jay is continuing these lessons as he takes on ownership of Jay's of La Valle. We are still committed to family and fun. We love the outdoors and want to help others get on out there!
